After about five days of drinking Celestial Seasoning’s “Morning Thunder” as my breakfast beverage, I had coffee again today. I am going to have to increase the amount of MT to two bags, because coffee still gives way more of a kick. Apparently the formulation of MT changed at some point. Too bad. I must say, however, that I do notice an effect from MT - less stimulatory, more...

The moon was so bright that even with the top of my headlight blinking in my peripheral vision I could see my shadow projected nearly straight down. I was warm (thanks thermal gear!) and happy and I didn’t...

Got up at 6, left the house at 7:10 (late due to flat rear tire discovered right before leaving). Used too big a tube to replace it, so I got a pinch flat in Mission Hills. Walked bike back home, waited for Cal Coast to open at 10. New Gatorskin tire, 3 new tubes, new (stronger) tire levers: $67. Replaced tire, tube, hit the road. Finally in lab around 11:30 (hey, my times are headed lower!),...

Once again, I stood in the grocery store, overwhelmed with the possibilities and the capacity of the world for change. Later, I found myself at the kitchen sink, doing dishes, and I realized that I had run out of dish soap. How quickly I take things like that for granted! Must work on that.
